| Clef Master Mage of Cephiro The first one to welcome the Magic Knights to Cephiro, Clef is the most powerful magician in the land, which is demonstrated as he uses a flying fish to save the Knights from falling into the waters of Cephiro during their arrival. It was Clef who bestows magical powers to the three knights and guides them through their journey in the first season of MKR. In the past, he was one of the chief magical counsels to the former Pillar, Princess Emeraude. Along with his mage duties, he also was doshi to several of the most powerful mages and sorceress of the land, among them Zagato, Alcyone and Lantis. Although it is unclear, one of Magic Knights, Umi Ryuuzaki appears to have fallen in love with Clef, who despite his boyish appearance is actually 745 years old.
