| REMINDING ME A gunshot in the distance At the break of day A man rages out in anger His wife had to pay The memories I had buried Deep down from my past All were right before me And overwhelmed me fast The terror I had forgotten The fear I'd left behind Really wasn't gone at all It was just hidden in my mind A tragedy like this happened And set my wheels in motion My mind could not contain it It tore apart my emotions And there again I was fighting And frightened for my life The memory was enough There again, I was his wife I look over my shoulder I check the locks now twice I jump at every noise It will always be in my mind How strong do I have to be Will the fear go away Not as long as a tragedy like this Keeps reminding me everyday.
