Adult Poetry Workshop (Mature 16 and up)

Writer's block blocking ideas?  Want honest feedback and editorial advice from a published poet?  Irish poet/publisher/editor Adrian Rice shares creative writing exercises to spark new writing and breathes life into your existing pieces in this writer's workshop. For beginners to published poets.
Teen Comedy Improv! (Ages: 14-18)
Are you quick witted and funny?  Want to learn the tricks and gimmicks behind the popular, �Whose Line is it, Anyway?� Join Molly Rice in a crash course of intense comedy improv. workshops that will culminate in a short form improv. show. Class limit 12 students.

Drama Games "Show & Tell" (Ages: 8-14)

Have fun in this workshop!  Play drama games to build your acting and communication skills. Overcome your stage fright! Ends with a presentation that lets the adults play the games that their kids learn. 
Word Plays (Ages: 8-12)
Work with Irish poet Adrian Rice to write original poetry & monologues in easy writing workshops and then learn acting skills with Molly Rice to bring those original pieces to life in a scripted poetry performance.  Best of both worlds - poetry & drama!
Me, Myself, and I (Ages: 13-18)
Teens, work with Irish poet Adrian Rice and Drama Director Molly Rice to explore your thoughts by writing original poetry, monologues, and scenes all about you that will be brought to life in a cool mixed-media short performance.

The Planter & the Gael: Poetry & Politics Of N. Ireland
Duke University Short Courses Class ID# 9775
Join award-winning Irish poet, Adrian Rice , himself raised in one of Belfast�s most notorious housing complexes, for a fascinating look at contemporary Northern Irish history and culture as reflected in the poetry and prose of major Irish poets John Hewitt and Seamus Heaney. Though focusing primarily on Hewitt and Heaney, the Planter/Protestant and the Gael/Catholic, the course will also feature the work of other internationally acclaimed poets from Ulster, like Michael Longley and Derek Mahon. Madison County Arts in Education Project
Adrian & Molly worked with Hot Springs Elementary School and Madison High School to produce original works and bring them to life onstage.  Produced two books to showcase students' creative writing.

Poetry Residencies
Molly was Poet-in-Residence for a week at Lyle Creek Elementary School and Claremont Elementary School to encourage children to have fun when approaching writing.

Molly & Adrian have done hundreds of workshops and projects in the UK and Ireland before coming to the States.  They are both Pushkin Trust Artists.  More info. on past workshops & projects coming soon.
