Belfast Lough Sea & Shore Project |
This is the fourth year of the project. First year, Poet Adrian Rice worked with P6 classes from 4 borough councils to inspire poetry from their field trips on and around the Belfast Lough. Life of the Lough: An Anthology of Children's Poetry was published in June 1999. Second year, Poet Adrian Rice added another dimension to the project - Art. Artist Phil O'Hanlon joined Adrian to produce the lovely Sea and Shore: A Children's Anthology of Poetry and Art Third year - three artists! Drama was introduced to the project. Drama Educator/Director Molly Freeman scripted children's poetry into poetry performances for the local launches and for the book launch and was included in the third publication Around the Lough: A Children's Anthology of Poetry, Art and Drama All publications were edited and designed by Adrian Rice, published by Belfast Lough Sea and Shore and printed by Nicholson & Bass Ltd, Belfast |
