Band Direction
The Band Director is Mike Watts, who attended Arizona State and graduated with a music degree.  He has been a director at Permian for 15 years and has been head director for six years.  Watts utilizes two Assistant Directors in John Carroll and Mark Kondrup.  John Carroll grew up in El Paso and attended Abilene Christian University and graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education degree.  Mr. Carroll also has a Master of Arts degree from West Texas A&M and has been a band director with ECISD for seven years, and has worked as a director for Permian for six years.  At this time, we have no information on the new assistant Mark Kondrup.
