One on one lessons are held once a week from Sept. through to the end of June, excluding holidays such as Christmas and the March Break. The length of the lesson depends on the level that the student is working, as well as the amount of time the student puts into his or her music away from the normal weekly lessons.
As well as the normal weekly lessons, there are performance classes held at least 4 times per year, giving the students the opportunity to perform for their peers as well as listen to others perform. These classes help the student to become comfortable performing for others in a more relaxed atmosphere, before performing for a larger audience.

There are many O.R.M.T.A. activities held throughout the year giving the students more opportunities for performance and being a part of the musical community.

Ensemble work is also possible for those students willing to put in extra time to have regular practices with others as a group.

We hold one recital a year, usually in June, giving the students the opportunity to perform for the public.

We also offer theory lessons for those interested in learning that aspect of music and for those interested in taking the "Royal Conservatory of Music" course beyond grade four piano. These examinations are offered but they are not a required part of the course.

Students are also given the opportunity to compete each year at the Oshawa Kiwanis Festival along with other nearby music festivals.
