Snyder is the only substance free dorm on the U of I campus. I have lived in Snyder for the three years before living in an appartment. I have some fond memories from Snyder, especially with people that lived on 3rd floor. I have had a smelly roommate, been in countless wrestling matches with fellow residents of 3 South, including my roommate Chris Schumer and RA Ernst Lamothe. I have been choked by Ernst for no apparent reason, posted the profile of Franis Buhay in the halls and led to his arrest, been dragged down the hall by Jeffery Lazzaro and Matt Palys, been in Eric's arm barr, and almost bleed to death thanks to Todd. I have been yelled at by several RAs to stop bouncing a basketball in the hallways, got destroyed in FIFA by Todd, used the girl's bathroom, broke Lee Sharpe's arm, locked Tom Duffy in the recycling room, been hugged by Amanda, touched Bobbi's frog, beaten in the annual 3 South Ostrich race by Jason Fleming, set Gil Barreto's clock a hour early, watched Ernst throw residents in the shower and forced to go to Hall Council meetings by Schumer. I relocated Ernst's bed to another room, complained about girls to Anna, watched Padzan and Herregen spar in the hallway, filmed the first Snyder documentary, saw Herregen walk around naked looking for food, watched Venom "de-evolutionize", witnessed Brady steal stuff from other people's room, danced with Schumer, got bitten in the finger by Jen, stared down by Vanessa Yoo, made fun of by Gerrie, and listened to Jon Warner scream. I played soccer in the hallways with Alex, argued with Soko about which water foundation was the best on floor, listened to Naked Nick play his guitar in the hallways at 2 in the morning, boxed with Schumer, ran from Louis, watched Todd slam and break his playstation control out of anger, shoved to the ground by Thomas, borrowed Mouzam's cane, sat in Shannon Kelly's "sex chair", slept Jen Lundeen's room, watched movies in Jodi's room, tried to get a large chunk of ice out of Lauren's and Heather's refrigator, watched Todd create the "Wang Association" for Mouzem, toilet papered Greg Tall's room, killed Alnoor in tennis, ate chomps with Ernst, listened to Paul Witte explain how Koreans are superior, stole Amanda's ball, part of the 3rd floor riot for protesting the smell in the hallways, lofted by Schumer onto his shoulder forcing me to go to McKinnley to treat my illness, watched Alicia dance on my heater during quiet hours, ate Pizza West, smelled the South Farms, bullied by Dana Wahl, beat Jeffery Krustuch in chess and sat on Robin's goldfish cushion. I have given Palys, Todd, and Schumer bad hair cuts, listened to Bill Walton's "awesome" commentary, witnessed Todd cried, watched Bob Knight on his best behavior, gave Todd and Thomas a Winne the Pooh blanket, stole Ernst' eye piece, gashed Schumer's right shoulder, changed Duffy's computer wallpaper, responsible for the pulsing vein on Ernst's forehead, watched Alnoor put up the 3 South flag (a bra), got nursed by Paul Parks, ate Pizza West with Mike Wade, ate Ernst's fruitsnacks, avoided "the bucket", witnessed Palys peg a guy in the eye with an eraser, locked Jodi and Thomas in the study lounge, mailed mushrooms to Todd, gave Lee Sharpe 20 dollars worth of pennies, begged Rick Nash for cash, conversed with Laurie Brenner in the hallways at 5 in the morning, got advice from Amanda, giggled with Bobbi, woke people up at 9a.m. on Saturday morning to play basketball, got carried out into the snow with only a shirt and shot on by Ernst and Schumer, put the whole floor lounge in front of Ernst's door, created a big lake in the hallway (literally) on the last day of school, and above all, I voted in the Presidental Election in the main lounge with Kevin Roos.
