Everything is stock, well almost. The car is built in 04/90, in Japan. The engine is a 4A-GE (red top) with horse power peaks at 140hp@7200rpm (~130hp for USDM engine?), front engine front wheel drive, 4 wheel disc brake, 2 door coupe. I bought it in 04/97, pre-owned. Definitely not a muscle car. But it's a fun car to drive. It has adequate power, good handling and good mileage. Everything is great. The only tiny little complain (if you can call this a complain) is that the stock head light isn't bright enough, maybe just comparing to the newer models.

I haven't done much mod to the car. Basically I want this car to be free from heavy mod, keep it simple, cheap and fun. So far, I have put in :

	TRD short throw shifter with TRD shift knob It didn't take me too long to install them. It was a fun project. But I don't like the fact that they are tilted to the passager side (instead of the driver side) and I still wish for shorter stroke ... *This is how I installed the quick shifter*
	*Cool blue* headlights Got them from Walmart, cause they are cheap and better than my old ones. They are suppose to be *cool blue*, but I would rather call them *less-yellow*.
	K&N air filter I have installed a K&N slot in replacement for the stock air filter. The engine feels much more lively and have much happier rev. Comparing to my old, dirty stock air filter, there are noticeable improvement in engine respond. It has been taken out and was replaced by OEM spec paper filter.
	Clear lens cover Got them off a '91 Toyota Camry and they fit prefectly. I changed the original clear bulbs to amber bulbs.
	RAZO carbon fiber pedal cover They look great and they do what they are suppost to. The OEM pedal spacing won't allow me to do toe-heel at all. Installing these pedal covers allows me to do quick side-step when rev-matching.
	Bosh Platinum +4 speak plug I have replaced the spark plugs with Bosh Platinum +4, the spark plug wires, cap and rotor with Toyota parts.
	Pioneer TS-G1045 4" 2-way speakers I have finally replaced my busted front speakers with a set of Pioneer TS-G1045 4" 2-way speaker. Click here to see the installation.
	Fog lights Fog lights installed to aid lighting up the road ahead on dark road.

That's pretty much it. And unless something broke, I want to try to keep it that way. The only thing I have in mind is to replace the rear speakers. The unusual size (5" instead of regular 5 1/4") is not common at all. The paint has seen better days but mechanically it's holding up very well.

  • The 12V outlet/lighter is working, just the contact was lose.

  • The fog lights require adjusting ... hope I can do it soon.
