Welcome to the new homepage year 2002 edition!!to see the year 2001 page click HERE.Basically all I can say about 2001 is that it was a triumphant return to the spectator stands.Due to financial restraints I had to make a choice between feeding my 3 kids or derbying. It was an easy choice because my family is very very important to me, but it was very painful choice because I love to derby. At this time we still have the 84 Mercury Marquis and the 85 Chevy Landau. Both Julie and I plan to be going to the compacts in Troy. Our local hometown Chemung county derby has added a full night of 4 cylinder action with 4 heats and a feature. We are really looking forward to that as it's brand new and we already have a leg up on experience. We do have 1 more car to build and it IS THE BEAST! My primary goal for this car will be to build it to the max DENT rules allow. It is a super solid 1974 cadillac sedan d' ellegance.it came with a running 500 we have sold for 2 and a half times what we paid for the car.For more on this new addition there will be a full page added.check the link further down.In October of 2000 we bought 3 more cars to add to the stable. An 84 4 door Cadillac, a 79 4 door Mercury Cougar and the real prize is a 69 Dodge Polara from South Carolina rust free.In this area salt on the roads eats holes in cars within 7 or 8 years of everyday use.93's and 94 model year cars have rusty quarters.Big solid cars are very hard to find. Some who see this page may think these are junk to them but the cars I have are very solid for this area.In this area most cars entered are junk .Rust buckets of the worst kind but it's run what you can get I guess. We try to find the best cars we can and overcome the design of the model year with good building and solid metal to start with. This is not to say we wouldn't love to start with a good model year like the 74-76 full size gms we just can't find any or can't afford them.Below are links to some derbies we have attended and photographed. Also are the full stories and pics of cars we have run or built to date. Please enjoy the site and we would love to get any feedback, tips, tricks or advice we can get to have the best run we can get out of these cars. |

Here is the Mighty Texas born 1974 Cadillac Sedan Deville D'Ellegance. This car was bought, and intended for the DENT show.Unfortunately there don't seem to be any regional shows anymore and oh yeah some lame ass rule about 80 or newer only.just my 2 cents but why force the best of the best that are there best in the older cars to adapt to new cars.I'm not sure what I will do with this car but I'll just find a better place to run.to see the page dedicated to this car click HERE |
