WHAT KEEPS ME GOING? "Nothing without faith!" Psalm 27:1-5 "The Lord is my light and my salvation

There's milk on your hair(Page 2)It can be said that Filipino men and women devote much attention to their hair proven by the fact that there are many hair salons in the country. They wont be there if they dont have costumers, right? In Metro Manila alone, there are over 46 hair and beauty salons (not including the number of branches of well-known salons). In these salons, rebonding is a common service provided. It becomes so popular that many salons, no mater how small their parlor is, would offer this service. Remember how shampoos say that using their product would give you a rebond-like hair thus making the Rejoice commercial line Shampoo lang yan! popular? With the dawn of this new hair technology, there is a great possibility that other salons will also engage in milk rebonding this 2005. Because of milk rebondings extra benefits, competition will increase. In a competitive market, as explained in economics, following the law of downward-sloping demand curve(youll learn more of this in Econ 11, especially under Maam Monsod), increased supply must decrease price and increase quantity demanded. Applying the theory, the price of milk rebonding treatment would probably decrease as other salons venture in milk rebonding this year. There is also an increase in the demand for the treatment as a result of this price decrease aside from the effect of the popularity of milk rebonding. The same is true even in other products or services right? Lets see what the 24/7 Call and Text Unlimited of Sun Cellular would do to our cellular phone companies. But if youre planning to do milk rebonding in your salon, you still have to consider a lot of things. First, are you capable of providing the service? Do you have enough knowledge and resources to do it? Will you be willing to take the risk of competing with other big salons? Well, according to Tony Galvez, famous hairstylist and establisher of The Tony Galvez Centrum Galvez, hairdressing is a new global skill for Filipino workers. He believes that by proper education, Filipinos will be able to compete abroad. He put up Tony Galvez School of Cosmetology (TGSC) which aims to adopt the international standards in the hairdressing and cosmetology profession. page 3First Things First: How to Manage your Time |
