WHAT KEEPS ME GOING? "Nothing without faith!" Psalm 27:1-5 "The Lord is my light and my salvation

There's milk on your hairWho loves milk? Does a mass communication student like you still enjoy drinking milk? If not, whats the purpose of milk to you? Well, perhaps you already know that milk is being used to nourish the skin aside from the fact that it nourishes and strengthens the bones. Youre familiar with milk bath right? (Want to have one at the end of you thesis?) But do you know that milk is now used as an ingredient in a hair treatment that made waves in 2004 known as rebonding? This new hair treatment is known as milk rebonding. Its a new breakthrough, which was introduced by Ricky Reyes in the Philippines and the first in Asia. Reyes thought that since milk is the richest source of protein and is used in skin, it can also be used for hair. Protein and fatty acids make milk a gentle formula for rebonding. After his consultations with HongKong experts and numerous lab tests and experiments, Milk Protein Straightening Treatment, a milk-based rebonding recipe is born. It is made up of 70% milk derived from vital proteins and vitamins from fresh milk. The rest are extracted amino 20 and fatty acids from pure, whole milk plus the rebonding formula with Vitamins A, B, D, and E. If your hair has undergone other hair treatments (bleached, colored, or tinted) thus losing its protein content, milk rebonding will give back the lost protein plus heals the hair cuticle making your hair soft, shiny and manageable according to Reyes. But the process is not so simple. Hairs condition and solution to use is first determined plus a strand test is done before undergoing this 3-hour process. A formulation chart is provided to ensure a right mixture (especially for a damaged hair which needs more milk). As of now, this technology is available at Ricky Reyes salons only. In Asia, the Philippines is the first to have this new hair technology prior to HongKong, Singapore, Japan, Korea, China and Taiwan. Milk rebonding might be in other Asian countries if not right now, this year. Still, Reyes say that you are the first to enjoy this new hair technology. But is this new hair treatment really needed by Filipinos? Well, most Filipinos who are belonging to the Malay race, closely related to Malaysians and Indonesians, are said to usually have a straight black hair (plus medium height and brown skin). But now, since many races have entered this land, variations of genes occur which result to the kind of hair you have right now. Thats aside from the other factors that affect your hair such as undergoing hair treatments, chemicals from your shampoos and conditioners, and even the dust particles you get by riding the jeepney to reach Plaridel Hall. |
