TENDERS CALLED

Port Stephens Pilot.

February 23, 1934.

As a result of the tender called for transporting a quantity of alum stone from the dump to the river side, the town is agog with the rumours of a possible reopening of the Alum Mountain mine.

It appears the new company propose shipping 60 tons of stone per month to Melbourne for treatment. Here's hoping for success and that the 60 tons becomes 6000 per month - a new era of prosperity would be assured for Bullahdelah.
