HISTORY
I am Blessed to come from loving and supportive parents/ family, who though not able to give me the knowledge of my ancestors, gave me the tools to find these things myself...an open mind, a sense of myself as an individual...since I left home ( 77' ) I started out down this path, first in the way of fighting/protesting injustice in many groups from Kent State and the May 4th Coalition where I was arrested for Contempt of Court etc. a number of times, to Seabrook, Mass.( the largest National demonstration against the use of Nuclear energy/arrested also) I then followed another path that continued to distance me from the Dominant Culture and studied Massage therapy in San Diego (79'). Worked as a Massagetherpist back home and spent the first half of the 80s "asleep" and not until Nov 85 did I begin to really look at my spiritual life seriously. This is when not only my perception of Myself changed , but music & Bodywork/healing as well. 86 I begin inner work with a Group. 88 in my study of tradtional African music I also delve into the spiritual trad. of w. Africa, it is interesting but I cannot connect with it..... 89 I go to my first Reservation, Pine Ridge, with group from Cleveland taking Clothes and goods for the coming winter...I start to look into this side of my heritage.... 90 I have a vision after starting a relationship with a local hawk, it pushes me towards a connection with my ancestors. Much has since changed...and Much has not... I will keep working on it though.
THREE THINGS ABOUT ME
The 'energy' that comes through my hands when I do Body/healing work is the same 'quality' expressing itself through my hands as music...they are 2, they are 1. This also applies to playing drum, or guitar...this is why I am 'sees two Spirits'. I try to remember the Sacredness of all things, and in all I do...
