Service Learning:
Service learning is using a service project as a teaching tool. Not only will students get hands-on practice with a particular project, but they will DO something and feel good about it.
Service Learning Lesson Plan: Recycling with Kindergarten Students.  In this lesson, we learn what recycling is, how trash is harmful, and come up with a way to get the message out about trash.
