Owned by Terry Fox, MIW has been providing exciting wrestling action for a decade.
“We try to provide action-based entertainment to various segments of the market,” Fox said. “The fans love the show and our sponsors get a bang for their buck. It is really a win-win situation.”
MIW has promoted shows for several community and youth groups, town celebrations and fairs. In addition, MIW has promoted shows in conjunction with Legions, VFWs, dance halls, bars and restaurants. Fox has also provided wrestling action for private parties such as birthdays, graduations and lock-ins.
“I never try to forget that I was a wrestling fan as a kid,” Fox said. “With that in mind, I like to try to bring wrestling so areas where people of all ages can see that shows. We like to tailor our shows to the venue. We meet the needs of the fans and sponsors.
Fox has also trained wrestlers since 1997. Several national stars started their wrestling careers at Fox’s camp, including WWE star Shawn Daivari and TNA and Ring of Honor star Austin Aries. In addition, a host of regional stars have been trained at Fox’s camp.
“It is exciting to see a young wrestler progress,” Fox said.
Fox is also considered the top ring crew technician in the Midwest. He was brought into the ring business in the 1980s under the tutelage of George “Scrap Iron” Gadaski in Verne Gagne’s AWA.
As a wrestler, Fox debuted in 1983 against AWA legend Billy Robinson. Other notable opponents have been Earthquake John Tenta, Jim Brunzell, Buck ZumHofe, and many others.
