Well today was my last day of work at 24 Hour Fitness. Im no longer a maintenance technician. I start my new job Tuesday at General Atomics. Sorry, but I cant really go into detail of what i'll be doing there. Lets just say i get to work on the big boy toys that fly by themselves and take out a few nasties. Enough of that lets get to what really matters. Project Mirage.
After work I went straight home and installed the 1.8L 210cc injectors. Everything went fairly smooth except that i forgot to install 4 rubber bushings. DUH I couldnt figure out why the injectors werent sitting all the way down and then i looked at my stock injectors and saw the rubber bushings. Once i got that done i fired up the mirage and crossed my fingers that i wouldnt foul my spark plugs like the first. Everything seems to be in great working condition. No fouled plugs and no leaks. Took it around the block for a test drive and to check the air fuel ratios. Whats interesting is at idle the car doesnt run rich. But at a certain rpm and throttle position it goes rich. Past what the wideband gauge can read. So depending on what the weather is like tomorrow morning I will or will not RE-install the turbo. Right now its raining good. So im just crossing my fingers that it will stop and clear up by later tonight.

Just a quick update on whats going on. I had a friend a the dealership install my new ACT clutch. He did it on the side so I didnt pay an arm and a leg for the install. So now im trying to come up with excuses as to why I shouldnt install the turbo again. But im coming up empty handed. So it looks like im gonna be working on it this friday when I get home. Lets see what else. Oh yeah I finally got around to hooking up the vacuum/boost line to the turbo timer. Cross your fingers and hope that i finally get this turbo on for good.
