This page is dedicated to those whom have chosen to embark on restoring an old arcade cabinet or scratch building a M.A.M.E. cabinet. I have built such a cabinet. It shall me named...."Mini MAME". Ok...stop the laughter! The reason why I named it "Mini Mame" is because the cabinet only measures 60" high, 28" deep, and 25.25" wide. It is a sit-down cabinet featuring a slide out keyboard tray.
My first contact with M.A.M.E. (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) was back in 1998. To my surprise, it emulated my all-time favorite game, Galaga! I was in Emulator Heaven! Like many folks, playing Galaga or any emulated arcade game just didn't feel right on a keyboard or joystick. My final inspiration in building my M.A.M.E. cabinet was from checking out all of the links at Arcade Controls. To my surprise, there are many people who have either restored an exisitng arcade cabinet or scratch built their own.
Many thanks to the dedicated site ops at Arcade at Home and Build Your Own Arcade Controls.
