Ferrari finished the race 1-2, with Schumi taking the win in front of the cheering tifosi at Indianapolis Speedway. He is now in a position to take the Driver's Championship with a win at either Suzuka, Japan or Sepang, Malaysia. It's my hope that Schumi will take the high road and not do to Mika Hakkinen what he did to Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve in the past. I think, though, that Mika may have brought out the sportsman in Schumi the past few years, which should make the 2000 F-1 season historic and memorable without major controversies.

I was thoroughly impressed with the Indianapolis Speedway as a motorsport facility, and I hope that Formula One will make it a permanent home from now on. I'm sure other notable road racing series like the American LeMans Series (ALMS) will make this place a home soon, to make it a true racing capital of the world (pending IRL/CART resolution) with Indy 500, Brickyard 400, and U.S. Grand Prix.
