David Coulthard and Michael Schumacher expressed concerns about the lack of grip on the Yard of Bricks previously, so the starting grid was moved back a few yards for the race. The start itself was rather uneventful (no crashes, no stalls) and although D.C. beat Schumi past Turn 1, he was penalized 10 seconds afterwards for jumping the start, which I didn't notice from where I was sitting. All the cars started with wet tires for the race.

Bobby Rahal, CART team owner/interim CART CEO, was at the Jaguar booth during the race, checking out the telemetry and race progress. He will be in charge of F-1 Jaguar racing starting next season, and it'll be interesting to see him take on this challenge. I think he'll do very well.
