There is no need to know how to sew, it is very simple and very fun!  If I can do it, ANYONE can do it!  During our next meeting we will show anyone interested how to make these binkies for a special child in our community!  We hope to see you there!

FUNDRAISING CROCHET CLASS

On February 24th our local chapter hosted a fundraising crochet class.  The class was taught by the very talented and patient Area Coordinator, Betty Jones.  I must admit, it was so much fun!  Nine people took on the challenge of learning how to crochet and they all did absolutely wonderful!
Our youngest guest was 6 year old Lindsay Trapp of Malvern who attended the class with her grandmother, Mrs. Krauss.  This very bright young girl quickly learned how to double crochet a binky for her Barbie Dolls.  When we asked Lindsay if she had fun, she exclaimed, "Yes I did!  At first I thought I couldn't do it!  Now I can!".
One of our very dedicated volunteers, 12 year old Daniel Davis of Warren also attended the class.  She had a wonderful time learning how to double crochet and made a promise to make the worlds longest chain!  Happy Crocheting Daniel!!
The ladies who attended the crochet class are very excited about volunteering for Binky Patrol.  I would like to extend a very warm welcome to the newest members of our Minerva Chapter. Thank you for your support!  Special thanks to Jenny McNutt for your help and your continued dedication to the children of Binky Patrol..
