The Millsaps Baseball Diamond Girls is  a student-founded and student-led organization which serves to  aid in the promotion of our college's baseball program.  The  Diamond Girls  have several duties in the Fall as well as during the Spring baseball season.  In the Fall, the Diamond Girls recruit  new members, sell ads for the baseball team's media guide, and train for the spring season by  helping out with the Fall baseball season.   During the season, the Diamond Girls run the concession stand, keep the  statistics during games, retrieve bats, helmets, and foul balls, make "happies" for the coaches and  players, decorate the locker room, and most importantly the Diamond Girls publicize when the games  are and how the team is performing.  Since Millsaps College competes in  Division III sports, it is very important to keep the campus involved in  athletics.   Occasionally, the Diamond Girls will travel with the team, but  this depends on the money raised through fundraisers during the Fall.  On road trips, Diamond Girl duties  include keeping statistics, acting as "bat girls," and filming and taking  pictures of the team for the annual scrapbook.
Being a part of the Diamond Girls  is truly a commitment especially during the spring season.   However, the  girls are also involved in several other activities on campus such as being a part of other sports, Greek life, SBA, and being Resident Assistants.  Being a part of the Diamond Girls is a great way to meet new people and have  tons of fun!
