Too Tired

Too Tired

Elf

I knew I was too tired to sleep,
for love it makes my heart now keep,
warmth and days that feel so right,
and starry heavens in the night.

Daisy chains form necklace rings,
Elves and fairies chant and sing.
Little clothes to mend and sew,
to wear upon their bodies so.

Mushrooms that are soft and pure,
homes to little ones I'm sure,
dance upon the forest green
skip off home to where I've seen.

Bedtime seems a place to be,
cuddled in the blanket sea,
oceans tossed within my bed,
maybe more inside my head.
