Bucketful of Roses

Bucketful of Roses

I went out to the garden on a warm summers day,
And there by the tap to take my breath away,
Sat a bucket full of roses cut fresh the loving blooms,
To tickle at my senses and smell of deep perfume.

Slowly as I dropped my shady pampus hat,
I reached for a rose then quietly just sat,
Reflecting at the way the flowers carried me,
Over thoughts of loving and cherishing of thee.
