Here are links to some of my favorite websites.

Travel

World Wide Mike - This is my other web page, which focusses on the trips I have taken over the years. Lots of cool historical sites, like Petra, Angkor Wat, castles, etc.

Gaming Organizations

HMGS Great Lakes - The Historical Miniatures Gaming Society, Great Lakes chapter, is the organization I belong to, support, and highly recommend to historical minis buffs in the Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and surrounding area.

Humberside Wargames Society - An English club that has been around since the '70s, and plays a large variety of games. Particularly worthwhile is their DBA Extension 1500-1900, which gives great suggestions for extending my favorite set of rules, De Bellis Antiquitatis, into the gunpowder and modern era.

Ancients Pages

DBA Resource Page - This is simply the best site dealing with my favorite historical miniatures game -- De Bellis Antiquitatis Ancients rules.

Ken Blackley's page - Ken, Canada's most enthusiastic gamer, is a big fan of Medieval warfare using Chipco's "Days of Knights." He also plays DBA and secretly worships the ghost of Charles the Bold (just kidding).

De Bellis Homepagius - A semi-official site dealing with DBA and its related sets of rules, De Bellis Multitudinis (DBM), Hordes of the Things (HOTT), etc.

Nunawading DBM Page - Want some great photos of Ancients in action? This Australian club has the best site for tourney reports and inspirational shots of armies clashing.

Society of Ancients - This is an international society (of which I am a member) for ancient and medieval wargamers and for studying military history. Their magazine, Slingshot, is one of my favorite periodicals I receive.

Fantasy

The Stronghold - Although it bills itself as unofficial, this is as official and comprehensive as it gets for HOTT fantasy rules, armies, campagins -- you name it! Great site.

Lazarus' Lair - Another site that covers both HOTT and DBA, this one gives a run down the armies he uses under both sets of rules.

Figure Manufacturers

Essex Miniatures - Probably my favorite all-around miniatures. Most of my 15mm Ancients are from Essex.

Old Glory - Okay, so these guys come in second. Their price is great, and they are expanding their Ancients line quite a bit of expanding right now.

Corvus Belli - A new company, from Spain, makes some drop dead gorgeous figures. These guys will seriously give the other manufacturers a run for their money!

Gladiator Games - I don't own many of their figs, but they are interesting looking.
