Deadline pressure prompted me to construct this camp, as well. I was taking my Nubians into the Biblicals DBA Theme tourney at Cold Wars, and didn't want to use one of my generic sectionals. So, I decided to construct a generic, Biblical/Near Eastern camp. I had bought the excellent Arabic looking man and wife and the hairy sheep the previous year, so they were naturals to go in the camp. The mound is a styrofoam hill I decided I could do without, and the boulders are aquarium gravel. The skinny slinger is a figure that has been saved in my miscellaneous box for years. It is from Bloodaxe Miniatures, who once sponsored one of my DBA Tourneys.
This is nowhere near my favorite camp, but it is a functional one that doesn't embarrass me on the tabletop. The only problem is it is too wide and tall for my normal carrying cases, and needs special care to transport.
