Gallic camp

Gallic Camp

Here's one of the last $25 camps I did before I started selling camps on ebay. It is a Gallic one for a fellow Great Lakes member. A couple warriors are "bringing home the bacon," carrying a wild boar on a spit they've just killed while hunting. The warriors are Pass of the North Spanish/Gallic figs, and I believe the noble cheering their return from the Palisade is an Essex figure. The pig and dog are ones I've picked up at various cons...I think they're Falcon U.K.

The palisade is done in my familiar Craft Sticks, with a couple small dowels for the main gate posts. I built up the embankment with thick, spongy craft foam, and covered the base with Liquitex. A simple, yet effective camp that evokes the spirit of the Gallic warrior...or at least that's my selling point!
