The Unified Theory -
Both of these theories are plausible in their own respect. One spiritually,
the other intellectually. Both have legions of followers who are equally
single-minded in their belief in them. And herein lies the problem, the blindness.
A closer look reveals that both theories agree on all of the following
points:
1) the universe came into being in an instant, and as it began to form into
galaxies (heavens and earths), light was created.
2) next came atmosphere on the planets.
3) then, on Earth, rain or mist poured from the atmosphere and created
oceans and continents, which spawned algae and plant life which, in turn,
cleansed the air.
4) the sky cleared, letting in the sunlight and revealing the moon and stars.
5) the more stabilized atmosphere stirred greater life in the sea, then in the
air, and finally on land. Mankind was the last of these land mammals to
form.
6) most intriguing of all, both theories agree that man was formed from
the elements of the Earth, of the dust.
It should also be noted that the Holy Bible clearly states the "six days" of
Creation were "generations." Since God did not create the sun until the fourth
day, this can only mean that each day lasted a great number of years our time.
Elsewhere in the Holy Bible, God states that a million years to us is like a
second to Him. From this it is reasonable to figure that a day to God is like a
billion years to us, and six days perhaps fifteen billion years.
Clearly, these two theories, beliefs, or whatever you want to call them, are
one and the same. They both tell the same story with the same basic facts,
only from different perspectives. The Creation theory is merely a condensed
version of the more detailed Big Bang theory, with just one difference.
Conscious influence.
Perhaps, then, it is no coincidence that this is the one piece missing from
the scientific puzzle. Science has no explanation for the cause of the Big
Bang, whereas religion simply professes that God was the instigator.
