In Germany she was sent to work in a clothing factory (converted from a cigar factory) in South East Germany at Klien Krotzenburg near Offenbach, Hesse.
She worked and look after the children of the family she lived with. During a walk with the children she cut down a small christmas tree and was arrested. (How she was released I'll never know).
Mother had to get her documentation in order to be a UK subject
