My Mother At sometime she did some training to be a nurse. In 1947 she left for au pair job in Yorkshire, then moved to Caterham to work in a mental hospital. In 1948/9 she trasferred to St Lawrence Hospital. She know of two other Estonian nurses in Caterham (Mammi was known as Mummy, and seen setting in Elis's wedding photo). Mammi helped transfer my Mother's job to St Lawrence. |
