January TLB Contest - Final Update

02/02/09

The contest has come to a close with Team +EV winning the overall team competition and pocketing $924 to split amongst themselves. Coming in 2nd place was Team PTP, who will take home $396 to split as well. Cuidado Llama!!!!!, Ruh Roh, and Team Soheb were all close behind, finishing in the #3-#5 spots respectively. Congratulations to our winners and congratulations to everyone who participated on a great month.

The individual standings did not change in the final days, meaning Metsfan512 is our winner for the month and will take home $60 for his efforts. Coming in not too far behind was xBlah, who will receive $32 for his 2nd place finish. Winning team captain + to the EV!, 4th round draft pick Prom Queens, and captain terrellk11 round out the top 5 and will each receive a small amount of prize money.

Congratulations also to the following players who each placed 1st in their individual draft rounds. They will each receive $33 for their efforts.

January TLB Contest - Day 30

With only 1.5 days left in the contest, Team +EV! and Team PTP pushed their lead over the rest of the field even further. The rest of the standings remained basically the same. The only change was Team Bartley moved up 3 spots to #8. This was a result of wins in the Stars $22 rebuy back-to-back nights by teammates CharlieLuv and ma77th3gr34t.

There were quite a few changes to the individual standings today. While Metsfan512 and xBlah continued to hold the top 2 spots, + to the EV! jumped into 3rd after posting his FTP $109 1r1a win. Also moving up was terrellk11, who jumped 1 spot to #5. Coming off their back to back performances mentioned above, CharlieLuv and ma77th3gr34t entered the top 10 at #7 and #9 respectively. Also joining the top 10 today was last round draft pick blv7183, who had a 3rd place finish in the Stars $27.50 40k GTD. This means that GambleAB, caspernene, and cardsfan04 all dropped out of the top 10.

January TLB Contest - Day 28

01/28/09

Not many changes to the overall standings other than the fact that Team +EV added 2.2k worth of scores to make their #1 spot almost unreachable for the rest of the field. This was thanks to xBlah with a win in the Stars $27.50 40k GTD and + to the EV! with 2 wins on Cake Poker. With only 4 days left of play, it looks like the rest of the teams might just be playing for 2nd place.

Today brought 2 big moves and 3 more new players to the top 10. After his win and another strong finish, xBlah moves into the #2 spot behind Metsfan512. Also moving up was + to the EV!, who jumped 3 spots to #4 after adding 1200 points to his total. Returning to the top 10 this time around are GambleAB (#8) and cardsfan04 (#10), who both came off huge final table scores. And entering for the first time is last round draft pick caspernene in the #9 spot. After taking down the Stars $109 turbo, he has proven that he was definitely a sleeper pick.

After a full weekend of scores were added, the teams near the top continue to stay within striking distance of the lead. Team +EV and Team PTP still sit at #1 and #2 thanks to solid scores from xBlah (Team PTP), EinEsel (Team PTP), and PartTimePoker (Team PTP). The biggest news of the day though is Team Soheb adding over 3000 points to their total and jumping 3 spots to #4. This was thanks in large part to Metsfan512's FTP $109 16.5k GTD win and his 5th place finish in the Stars $11 200k GTD. With 6 days left in the contest there is still a chance for any of the teams to win.

With all of the huge scores added from the last few days, several changes were made to the individual standings. Metsfan512 and Prom Queens continue to comfortably hold the top 2 spots. However, after 2 FTs in 3 days in the FTP $5r 9k GTD, xBlah added 700 points to his total and moved up 1 spot to #3. We also had 2 new players reach the top 10 today. PartTimePoker entered at #4 after FTs in the Stars $50r and $30r as well as the FTP $30r. Also entering was Poker 1 ab, who comes in at #8 after an 8th place finish in the Stars $50 70k GTD. These 2 additions mean blv7183 and pokerismygame7 dropped out of the top 10, down to #13 and #14 respectively.

January TLB Contest - Day 23

Heading into the final week of play, the standings have tightened up towards the top. Several teams are still in the running for the title, including Cuidado Llama!!!!! who moved up 1 spot again today to #3. The only other change was Team Soheb moving up 2 spots to #7.

The top 8 remained the same in the individual contest, but new players took over the #9 and #10 spots. AJB444 returned to the top 10 at #9 after a win in the FTP $75 Stud8. And a familiar face around the top in month's past returned to the top 10. Of course I am talking about pokerismygame7 who entered at #10 after posting several FT scores on Stars.

Team +EV and Team PTP continue to stand ahead of everyone else in 1st and 2nd. However, the big news of the day is Cuidado Llama!!!!! jumped from last place all the way up to #4 with the help of terrellk11's scores totaling 2.9k. Also near the top, Ruh Roh moved up 1 spot to #3 thanks to solid scores from MrBananaSlug and heatfan03.

Today the only changes to the individual race are the 2 new players who have entered the top 10. After entering his 2.9k worth of scores, terrellk11 comes in near the top at #3. Last round draft pick blv7183 also entered the top 10 for the first time, coming in at #8. With 2 new additions comes 2 players leaving the top 10. Ma77th3gr34t and cardsfan04 both dropped out, down to #11 and #13 respectively.

A few small changes in the team standings today, with the biggest news being that Team PTP has pulled within 9 points of Team +EV for the lead. Also, Team AA moved up 1 spot to #3 and Team Borg dug out of the basement and moved all the way up 4 spots to #7.

None of the top 10 individual players posted any scores and no new players moved past cardsfan04, so the standings remained the same.

After 3 days of scores were added, several teams moved in the standings. Overall, Team +EV still holds an 850 point lead over Team PTP. Ruh Roh moved up 1 spot to #3 after strong showings by Poker 1 ab, MrBananaSlug, and Nuttypoolog. Team Rubs also moved closer to the top. Big scores from jssoccer11, cardsfan04, and CIA_Bodyguard moved Team Rubs up 4 spots to #5.

Coming off his 5th place finish in the Stars Sunday $500, Metsfan512 moved into the lead in the individual standings. Also moving up was dantheman510, who jumped 2 spots to #8. Today we had 2 newcomers to the top 10 as well. Ma77th3gr34t entered at #9 and cardsfan04 at #10. This dropped AJB444 and GambleAB out of the top 10 and down to #11 and #13 respectively.

The standings were changed drastically today as several different teams moved up and down. Continuing their dominance, Team +EV and Team PTP have pulled away from the pack in the #1 and #2 spots respectively. Ruh Roh moved up 2 spots to #4 as a result of solid scores from Nuttypoolog and andyguttormsen. Team X was able to move up 3 spots to #6 after the hard work of dapfunkera and dantheman510. Also, Team Rubs moved up 1 spot from #10 to #9. Team G2G, Cuidado Llama!!!!!, and Team Soheb all dropped down in the standings. Team G2G dropped 3 spots to #7, Cuidado Llama!!!!! dropped 1 spot to #8, and Team Soheb dropped 2 spots down to #10.

Just as the overall rankings got shuffled, so did the individual as well. The top 3 remained the same with Prom Queens continuing to pull further ahead in the #1 spot. Andyguttormsen moved up 1 spot to #4 after his FT on FTP. Also, AApoker moved up 2 spots to #6 after a strong showing in the FTP $163 Nightly. We also had 2 newcomers to the top 10 today. Dapfunkera entered at #7 and dantheman510 entered at #10. This means that SlyBetter and melissa2141 have left the top 10, dropping to #12 and #14 overall respectively.

There was only one real change to the standings after a relatively slow day of scores. Team PTP added over 1.7k to its score thanks to Prom Queens, thricer, and gaoutlaw13. This moved them up 1 spot to #2, but more importantly moved them within 600 points of Team EV and 1st place.

We have a new leader in the individual rankings. Prom Queens, a 4th round sleeper draft pick by Team PTP, added 1.4k worth of scores to take him past Metsfan512 and into 1st place overall. The only other small change to the rankings was AJB444 jumping 1 spot to #6, barely edging out GambleAB for the time being.

The biggest move of the day came from Cuidado Llama!!!!! who gained 2.1k points on the field and jumped from last place up to #7. Also moving up a few spots today was Team G2G, jumping 2 spots from #6 up to #4. The middle of the pack is still bunched together chasing Team +EV. However as we approach the midway point of the month, everyone is still capable of winning this.

No new additions to the top 10 in the individual rankings, but there were a few small changes. A 2nd place in the Stars $27.50 Turbo moved GambleAB up 3 spots from #9 to #6. And after a FTP $26 PLO win, AJB444 also moved up 3 spots from #10 to #7.

Not much change today in the overall standings. After relatively slow day, the only move was Team X jumping 1 spot to #8. Team +EV continues to hold a sizable lead, with Team AA and Team PTP nearly dead even in 2nd and 3rd.

On the individual side, the top 4 remained the same. However there were a few small changes to the rest of the top 10. Prom Queens jumped 2 spots to #5 with a few small scores. Also, AApoker enters the top 10 at #6 after a solid score on Cake Poker. Subsequently, pokergod101 was dropped out of the top 10 down to #11.

After several big Sunday performances, Team +EV pushed their lead even further ahead of the pack. Team AA moved up 1 spot from #3 to #2, dropping Team PTP to #3. However, today's biggest mover was Ruh Roh. With significant contributions from andyguttormsen, Ruh Roh moved up 6 spots from #10 to #4. Team Soheb also moved up 2 spots to #7 after the Captain himself turned in a stellar Sunday.

The Sunday MTTs faired well for members of the top 10 in the individual standings. Metsfan512 took over the top spot after adding more than 1.2k points to his score. + to the EV! also added about 900 points to his total, moving him up to the #3 spot. The biggest mover of the day though was andyguttormsen. Previously out of the top 10, his 2k points he added moved him up to the #4 spot. Also entering the top 10 today is AJB444 in the #9 spot. With additions come losses, and heatfan03 and ma77th3gr34t were dropped out of the top 10 down to #11 and #12 respectively.

Welcome to the official scoreboard for the PTP January TLB Contest. In this area of the home page that your reading right now I will be bringing you recaps and any other information relating to the contest that I find interesting. This site is our temporary home for the time being. We are currently working on the new (and hopefully final) site and are hoping to have it completed in the next week or so.
