February TLB Contest - Final Update

03/02/09

For the second month in a row, Team +EV and Team PTP finish as #1 and #2. This was the closest contest we have ever had, with every last score on the final day playing a big role. Team +EV will be taking home $840 for their overall win. Team PTP will also take home $360 for their 2nd place finish. Team Bazooka finished 3rd behind Team PTP, missing out on the money by only 87 points. Congratulations to our winners and congratulations to everyone on another great month.

The overall individual winner this month was cardsfan04. He held the lead for nearly half of the month, and for his efforts he wins $60. Finishing in the money for the 2nd month in row, + to the EV! will take home $35 for his 2nd place finish. And rounding out the top 3 was Cosmickings, who jumped past arobinson11 on the final day. He will take home $25 for his 3rd place finish.

Congratulations also to the following players who each placed 1st in their individual draft rounds. They will each receive $36 for their efforts.

February TLB Contest - Day 28

02/28/09

With less than 24 hours left in the contest, six different teams could still possibly pull off a win. The top 3 teams are separated by a mere 230 points and the teams in the #4-#6 spots are only 1300 points out of the lead. One big day for any of these teams could bring home the title. Remember that today is the last day of play that will count, and the last chance to post any late scores will be the end of the day tomorrow.

The individual standings remained basically the same except for + to the EV!, who moved up 4 spots to the #2 position behind cardsfan04. It is still extremely close as players fight it out for those top 3 spots that pay out cash.

It should be an exciting finish for both the team and individual contests! Good luck on the final day everyone!

With 2.5 days left in the contest, the only thing that changed in the team standings was the distance separating the top 6 teams. Team +EV and Team PTP hold the top 2 spots for now, but several teams are extremely close to overtaking them. This is the closest our contest has ever been at the end, and it is still definitely anyone's game.

The individual standings remain even closer than the team standings. While cardsfan04 and arobinson11 still hold the top 2 spots, Cosmickings has moved up 6 spots to #3 behind them. The only other change was that PartTimePoker entered the top 10 in the #10 spot. This dropped xBlah out and down to #12 overall.

February TLB Contest - Day 24

02/24/09

After adding over 3400 points to their team score, Team +EV has now taken over the lead. This was thanks in large part to + to the EV!, who won the Stars $50 1 rebuy 1 addon and also finished 37th in the Millions on Sunday. The rest of the standings remained basically unchanged.

Cardsfan04 still hold the top spot in the individual standings. However, it is an extremely close race for 2nd with the #2 through #6 spots only separated by 60 points. Arobinson11 moved up 1 spot to #2, an amazing 0.27 TLBs ahead of tcgolfpro24. We also had 2 new entires to the top 10. + to the EV! entered for the first time and Cosmickings returned, coming in at #5 and #9 respectively. This means that Rags007 and blv7183 dropped out and down to #11 and #13.

The top 3 are now separated by about 200 points, with 1st and 2nd only 40 points apart. Team Soheb and Team PTP still retain the top spots, but Team Bazooka added 2000 points and shot up 4 spots to #3. Also moving up was Team Siberian, who jumped 1 spot to #4. With less than a week left in the contest, there is no definitive leader and anyone can still win.

Not much happened today on the inidividual side of things. The top 5 remained the same and no one entered or left the top 10. MangosPapa did manage to move up 3 spots to #6 though after a 7th place finish in the Stars $10 rebuy.

Several teams moved up in the standings today. Team PTP jumped the highest, skyrocketing up 6 spots to take over the #2 spot. This was thanks to some monster scores posted by arobinson11 and PartTimePoker. Also moving up were Team G2G, who jumped 1 spot to #3, and Team +EV, who jumped 3 spots to #4.

Today we have a new leader in the individual standings. After a 3rd place finish in the FTP $50 50k GTD, cardsfan04 moved into the #1 spot. Also moving up was arobinson11, who jumped 3 spots to #3 after his 5th place finish in the Stars #3 rebuy. Several final tables also moved ma77th3gr34t up 3 spots to #5. The top 10 also welcomed 2 new players. Rags007 and xBlah entered at #8 and #10 respectively. This means Cosmickings and chimp__greg dropped out of the top 10, and down to #13 and #14 respectively.

There is a new leader in the overall standings. Team Soheb has climbed to the top and overtaken Team Siberian for the lead. Also moving up were Team Skydive to #3 and Team G2G to #4. The standings are still very close though and it is still anyone's game with less than 2 weeks remaining.

Tcgolfpro24 continues to hold the #1 spot in the individual rankings, but cardsfan04 and Metsfan512 are now nipping at his heels. MangosPapa is also right in the hunt, moving up 4 spots to #5. Dropping out of the top 10 this update was mbender, who fell to #11 overall.

February TLB Contest - Day 13

The big news of the day is Team Siberian's lead has been trimmed to just 10 points. Team Soheb is right behind them in the #2 spot after their team added 2700 points, jumping them 7 spots up from #9. Team +EV is in a very close 3rd place as well, only 127 points off the lead. 9 of the 12 teams are now within 1200 points of the lead. The race has definitely started to heat up.

Tcgolfpro24 is still #1 in the individual standings, but blv7183 has now taken over the #2 spot over cardsfan04. Also, arobinson11 added 500 points to his total and moved up 6 spots from #10 to #4. Bigturns moved up as well, jumping 3 spots from #8 to #5. It was only a matter of time before last month's individual champion entered the top 10, as Metsfan512 came in at #8. Also rejoining the top 10 is chimp__greg in the #10 spot.

February TLB Contest - Day 11

Several solid scores from a number of teams have changed the standings today. Team Siberian still holds the top spot, but their lead is shrinking by the day. Team Skydive moved up 2 spots to #2 after a 2nd place finish in the Stars $11 30k GTD by Cosmickings. Team Ma77, the biggest mover of the day, jumped 4 spots to #3 after several solid scores from ma77th3gr34t. Also moving up in the standings were Team Bazooka (#5), Team G2G (#6), and Team Soheb (#9).

While tcgolfpro24 and cardsfan04 continue to hold the top 2 spots in the individual standings, there were several changes to the rest of the top 10. Three players entered the top 10 for the first time this month. Ma77th3gr34t entered at #3, xBlah came in at #7, and Rags007 entered at #9. This means that siberianex, chimp_greg, and mizzo5678 have dropped out of the top 10 and down to #11, #12, and #14 respectively.

February TLB Contest - Day 9

Team Siberian and Team +EV continue to hold the #1 and #2 spots overall after 3 days of scores were added. Behind them it is a very close race, with the #3-#7 spots only separated by 300 points. The biggest mover of the day was Team G2G, who added 1800 points to their total and jumped up 3 spots to #5. Falling in the standings were Team Bazooka and Team Borg, who both fell 3 spots to #6 and #10 respectively.

The top 3 in the individual standings remained the same, but there were big changes to the rest of the top 10. Last round draft pick bigturns entered the top 10 at #4, coming off a huge win in the FTP $50/50k. MangosPapa and chimp_greg also entered the top 10 for the first time at #5 and #10 in the standings. With the new additions it meant that several had to drop out of the top 10. The Real Decoy, EinEsel, and MyLastBuck all dropped out of the top 10 and down to #11, #13, and #19 overall.

Not much has changed in the first update to the standings. Although it is still early, Team Siberian has performed the best to this point and has a fairly comfortable lead for the time being.

On the individual side, tcgolfpro24 continues to hold the #1 ranking for now. Not even a week into the contest, he already has over 2200 points and has proven so far that he will be in contention for the title at the end of the month.
