The Characters of Season One
Tai Kamiya/Yagami Taichi
Tai is the leader of the DigiDestined, and, though he is somewhat thick-headed, always manages to find some way to get the team together to kick evil's butt. Tai at first can seem thick-headed, stubborn, and rude, but after getting to know him better, you can see that he has a big heart, and cares for the others. He especially cares for Kari, his little sister. Tai is often fighting with Matt, but they eventually become the best of friends. In Season 2, Tai is still obsessed with soccer, and has leveled out quite a bit. He doesn't change very much between the seasons, aside from both him and his hair getting larger. ^_~;
Tai's profession at the end of Season 2: The DigiWorld's first diplomat. ...He cut his hair... That, in itself, is a crime. But Agumon in a business suit? O.o!!! Well, not everything's perfect, eh?
Tai's Digimon:
Fresh: Botamon, Bubble Blow
In-Training: Koromon, Bubble Blow
Rookie: Agumon, Pepper Breath
Champion: Greymon, Nova Blast
Ultimate: MetalGreymon, Giga Blaster
Alternate Ultimate: SkullGreymon, Dark Shot
Mega: WarGreymon, Terra Force
Fusion Mega: Omnimon, Trancendant Sword
Matt Ishida/Ishida Yamato
Matt, the self-proclaimed 'cool one', is full of attitude. But underneath this tough exterior lies a large heart. Matt is always trying to take care of his closest friends, and, most importantly, his little brother, T.K. Matt's parents divorced years ago, so he and T.K. don't really get to see each other much anymore. Yamato almost always clashes with Tai. The two of them are just too stubborn and hot-headed to get along with each other. Later on, though, they realize that they are, indeed, true friends. In Season 2, Matt decides to try his hand at being a rock-star. He is very successful, and we hear one of his songs during a later episode. However, he gains a Rabid Fangirl in the process. Davis' sister, Jun (more on her in the Season 2 section).
Matt's profession at the end of Season 2: An astronaut. He and Gabumon end up going to Mars, though they were only supposed to go to the moon...
Matt's Digimon:
Fresh: ?
In-Training: Tsunomon, Bubble Blow
Rookie: Gabumon, Blue Blaster
Garurumon, Howling Blaster
WereGarurumon, Garuru Kick
MetalGarurumon, Ice Wolf Bite, Ice Wolf Claw
Fusion Mega: Omnimon, Trancendant Sword
Sora Takenuchi/Takenuchi Sora
Sora has a big heart. She is the one who always knows just what to say to make everyone feel better, especially in the hard times. She takes care of the team, though she tends to have 'crying fits' every now and again. Sora is sometimes seen as a tomboy, because she's more athletic than the other girls of the team. Sora enjoys soccer, and always wears her 'lucky hat'. (Which is oddly helmet-like in one episode, and floppy in another...) In Season 2, Sora really hasn't changed at all... Except for the fact that she's moved up from soccer to tennis.
Sora's profession at the end of Season 2: A clothing designer. This didn't shock me as much as some of the other jobs did, though.
Sora's Digimon: Fresh: ?
In-Training: Yokomon, Bubble Blow
Rookie: Biyomon, Spiral Twister
Champion: Birdramon, Meteor Wing
Ultimate: Garudamon, Wing Blade
Mega: Phoenixmon, Starlight Explosion
Mimi Tachikawa/Tachikawa Mimi
Mimi is the fashion expert of the group, and is pretty spoiled. She cares a lot about the group, but is usually found whining instead of helping. She's really a sweet girl on the inside though. In Season 2, Mimi moves to New York City, and dyes her hair pink with little yellow stars glued in. She's still a little spoiled, but her attitude has taken a change for the better!
Mimi's profession at the end of Season 2: Host of a cooking show. Look out Martha Stewart, here comes Mimi Tachikawa! Her job also didn't surprise me. Mimi was destined for fame and fortune, and, lo and behold, she got it!
Mimi's Digimon: Fresh: ?
In-Training: Tanemon, Bubble Blow
Rookie: Palmon, Poison Ivy
Chamipion: Togemon, Needle Spray
Ultimate: Lillymon, Flower Cannon
Mega: Rosemon, Thorn Whip
Joe Kido/Kido Jyou
Joe is the oldest of the group, and the one who worries the most. He's always complaining about some allergy of his, or some way in which all of the DigiDestined could end up captured or killed. For a while, it seems that worrying is his favorite thing to do, but it's not. Joe has two brothers in the Japanese version of Digimon, but in the American version, he has only one! Joe is the most reliable and dependable of the group, and can always be counted on in a time of need. In Season 2, Joe tones down a bit, and doesn't worry as much - except when it comes to school!
Joe's profession at the end of Season 2: the DigiWorld's first doctor. Not much of a surprise there
Joe's Digimon: Fresh: ?
In-Training: Bukamon, Bubble Blow
Rookie: Gomamon, Marching Fishes
Champion: Ikkakumon, Harpoon Torpedo
Ultimate: Zudomon, Vulcan's Hammer
Mega: Pleciomon, ???
Izzy Izumi/Izumi Koshiro
Izzy is the technical genius of the group. Sometimes he may seem a bit out of touch with reality, but he has a good heart. We find out, in the series, that Izzy is adopted. In Season 2, Izzy is still the same computer nerd that he was before. He has grown taller through the 5 years that are mysteriously never spoken about between Seasons 1 & 2.
Izzy's proffesion at the end of Season 2: I believe he became a computer programer of some sorts. Another job that didn't really surprise me.
Izzy's Digimon: Fresh: Pabumon, Bubble Blow
In-Training: Motimon, Bubble Blow
Rookie: Tentomon, Super Shocker
Champion: Kabuterimon, Electro Shocker
Ultimate: MegaKabuterimon, Horn Buster
Mega: HerculesKabuterimon, Giga Scissor Claw?
TK & Kari's Stats are going to be put on the Season 2 Stats page...
