in other words, the nasties!
Devimon is the very first villian the DigiDestined encounter. He is a very strong Champion level Digimon, but much stronger than the DigiDestined's Digimon. He is the cause of the black gears causing chaos amoung the Digital World. His two most trusted servants were Ogremon and Leomon, who were controlled by black gears. He is only defeated when Patamon finally Digivolves into his Champion form, Angemon.
Rumor has it that DemiDevimon is his Rookie form, and LadyDevimon is his Ultimate. (I agree more with the former of those rumors, though) All in all, Devimon is a pretty scary guy.
DemiDevimon is probably the most annoying villian of Season One. His jokes are not funny, and he gets in the way of almost everyone! None of his plans ever really work, and his attack, DemiDart, only makes Biyomon feel a little dizzy for a bit...
Etemon is the second villian the DigiDestined face. He, in my oppinian, is quite annoying. He thinks that he can sing very well, but it sounds, well... how can I put this lightly...? Horrible! Because of his rigged Colleseum, Greymon Digivolved unnaturaly to SkullGreymon. This was also the fault of Tai. Etemon has a bunch of little grey helpers called Gazimon who he beats up on, continuing the fine tradition of badguy-employee relations. He also used the dark network, which he stole from that digimon who looked like a food processor (Datamon?), to track our heroes while they ran around getting their crests. While they were doing this he was chasing them with various dinosaur digimon. He was yet another of those digimon who interfered with the digivolving process. In the end this was solved by the appearance of MetalGreymon who kicked his monkey butt.
He did survive being sucked into a black hole however and returned as MetalEtemon and, for his trouble, was defeated by SaberLeomon and Zudomon. Yay!
Myotismon is our our third badguy and one of the nastier individuals running around in the digital world, he may look slightly stupid with those three strands of hair out the front but he is not a Mon to cross. He is an Ultimate with a large bunch of helpers, mainly Bakumon but with losts of others. Gatomon works for him for a while until Wizardmon tells her who she is. Myotismon is a vampiric digimon who attacks young women and cruises around in a horseless carriage. He is the only Series One baddie who makes it to Earth and is a tough son of a gun, successfully wiping the floor with the kids Digimon until Angewomon kills him by using everyone's attacks at once. He is a rampant serial killer, with Pumpkinmon, Gatsumon, and Wizardmon his known murders. Ah well. After his death DemiDevimon , who worked for him, fulfills a prophecy brings him back to life as a Mega but unfortunatley the prophecy also tells how to defeat him for good. Gabumon and Agumon go Mega (finally!) beat him up and then everyone attacks him at once while he is held down by some sort of light coming from their Crests.
There are four dark masters and in order of facing they are MetalSeadramon, Puppetmon, Machinedramon and Piedmon.
The Dark Masters are all Megas, and are intent on ruling the Digital World. They easily crush resistance by the Digidestined's Mega and Ultimate level Digimons. But things start to go wrong as the Digdestined start thinking (for Tai, that's a miracle!). They do despatch a few of the allies though. MetalSeadramon, Seadramon but bigger and metal, is the first to get wasted, after pursuing the kids around the oceans he corners them and kills Whaemon, where upon WarGreymon flies down his throat and rips his way out the side of him, killing him (Not a pretty picture for the faint of heart).
Puppetmon, a wooden marrionette, is the next one to die, but not before he splits Matt off from the rest by getting Cherrymon to make him distrustful of Tai. Puppetmon has control over his section of the Digiworld and has little dolls which he uses to control people. Cherrymon warns him that the Digidestined have something he doesn't and Puppetmon kills him. After the kids hunt him down , well those kids still in one group, he is defeated but flees. Unfortunately, MetalGarurumon is waiting and kills him when Matt tells him to. Next up is Machinedramon, a 70-ton metal dinosaur with a bad atttitude. He has lots of Tankmon and various other homies working for him. Once the kids arrive in his city he hunts them down but eventually gets too close and WarGreymon slices him into several pieces.
Last is Piedmon, an arrogant jerk who is dressed like a refugee from the circus. He is in charge of the nightmare soldiers, who are pretty pathetic really, the main one being LadyDevimon and the Vilemon.
These are all dispatched with enthusiasm by the kids but he then shows his other attack, clown trick, which turns everyone into keychains except for TK, who activates his crest, bringing MagnaAngemon into play. MagnaAngemon lays the smack down upon him and then the kids prepare for.....
