SPECIAL EVENTS Middletown High School's Fellowship of Christian Athletes huddle participates in several special events throughout the year. * Students raise money to "adopt" two needy families during the Christmas season. * Students distribute candy canes to everyone in the building during the last week before Christmas vacation. Attached to each candy cane is a card detailing the history of the Christmas Candy Cane and explaining that a candy maker in Indiana wanted to create a candy that would be a Christian witness. * Students distribute free cups of hot chocolate to everyone as they enter the building on the last day of school before Christmas vacation. * Students plan and hold a Staff Appreciation Breakfast during a teacher in-service day during January each year. * Students participate in "See You At The Pole" and "National Day of Prayer" gatherings each year. * Students invite guest speakers to huddle meetings throughout the year. * These are just some of the special events that the Middletown FCA huddle participates in each year! |
