Melvin Fleming Jr., was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. At the age of sixteen the Lord began to place a heavey burden on his heart to start fasting and praying for the sick. Brother Fleming would spend hours praying and studying the bible for the supernatural and more of God. Each weekend he would visit hospitals and the homes of believers who were sick. He would often pray and lay hands on them rebuking the spirit of sickness and disease off their lives and God would many times send forth healing. In 1981 Brother Fleming received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and was called into the five-fold ministry under the late Mother Nora Spivey, pastor of Faith Tabernacle UHC in Freehold, NJ. In 1984 his father Bishop Melvin Fleming Sr., was appointed and lead by the Lord to pastor the New Bethel Holy Church in Ewing, New Jersey and after 17 years of membership at Faith Tabernacle Brother Fleming resigned and went to help his father's ministry. In 1985 Melvin Fleming graduated the Deliverance Bible Institute in Newark, NJ under the leadership of Apostle Ralph Nichol and while attending his studies, he met Denise Cousar former classmate of DBI, and a year later they married, that union brougth forth two sons Devin and Andrew. Brother Fleming held numerous positions at the New Bethel Church. He was the president and organist of the mass choir for 12 years. He taught Sunday School for over 17 years. He was the president of the YPHA youth department for numerous years and also president of the outreach ministry. In the year of 2000 the Lord called Brother Fleming and his family into the Nothing But The Word Deliverance Church in Florence, NJ. He his now the pastor of the New Bethel Holy Church in Ewing, NJ where his father Bishop Melvin Fleming Sr., is the Senior Pastor.
Melvin Fleming is also a graduate of the Princeton Deliverance Bible School and a graduate of the United Christian Institute both in Trenton, NJ. In 2001 Brother Fleming was ordained as an Elder in Balitmore, MD by the late Bishop William Gatling. He and his wife Denise have evangelized for the past 19 years from city to city in New Jersey, New York, Baltimore, and other States, preaching and ministering to literally hundreds of people the message of Salvation, Hope, and Deliverance. Brother Fleming is a bold energetic anointed preacher that is highly regarded for his gift of exhortation and gift of breaking demonic yokes off the lives and mind sets of believers. Melvin Fleming is also regared for his ability of depositing strength to broken and discouraged pastors and leaders.
Melvin Fleming believes that preachers in the ministry must have a burden for the lost and get involved in the community. Melvin Fleming fulfills numerous appointments annually preaching in tents, revivals, seminars, conferences and hotels. In 1999 Melvin Fleming graduated the Community Foundation of New Jesrey a non-profit orginization that provides education and funding for grass-root orginizations. Melvin Fleming has hosted various religious radio programs; such as "The Word of Truth Ministries which aired for five years on WIMG 1300 AM, "Restoration and Power Ministries" for one year on WTTM 520 AM, WIFI 920 AM, and the "Greater is He Deliverance Ministries" on WIMG 1300 AM. Melvin Fleming is the author of his book called
"Purging of the Prophets".
