Instructions for Proctors


  1. Place Students in alternate seats.
  2. Distribute tests face-down to each student.
  3. Ask students to write their names and school on the front of their test when they begin. Please circulate around the room as they are working to see if this has been completed.
  4. Please follow the time limit for the test.
  5. Arrange tests in groups by school, put them in the envelope provided; a student aide will collect them from you and take them to the grader�s room (teacher�s café).
  6. The Calculator Team and the 8-person Team tests do not require proctoring. Please hand the test envelope to the team leader, remind them that you will collect the single answer sheet at the appropriate time.
  7. Calculators are allowed on all events; however, no Qwerty Keyboard calculators (TI-92) or calculators which do symbolic algebraic manipulations (TI-89).

 





Instructions for Graders


  1. Grade each test. Each question is worth one point � NO PARTIAL CREDIT.
  2. Exchange tests and grade again.
  3. Arrange papers by team in order from the highest score to the lowest score.
  4. Total team score (for each area test) is the sum of the five best papers.
  5. Write the team score on the index card provided and attach it to the team papers.
  6. Give the tests to the official scorer.
  7. Calculator and team tests have one answer sheet per school � each question is worth one point. NO PARTIAL CREDIT.
