| The front view of the part is shown. There are six teeth at the sides with 60° separately located. When the ball rolls down from a higher position to the teeth, a force act on this part and an angular motion will then be done. If the ball drops on the left hand side, the component will turn anti-clockwise. If the ball drops on the right hand side, the component will turn clockwise.
In fig 3.9, it shows the real object of this component which is used to add salt. The base of this component is attached to a wheel so that it can rotate smoothly. As it needs to support a large force when the ball cracks on this part, so AA-glue and mini trigger glue gun are used.
As it is used to add salt or oil, a container is needed. Therefore, spoon is chosen to be used because spoon has the characteristic that it will drop what it carries when it rotates. It shows the part of adding oil. A long spoon is chosen to be used. And a short spoon is chosen to be used to add salt.
After attaching the spoon onto the rotating part, it is turntable clockwise and anticlockwise just depend on the action of the base part. When it rotates, the salt in the spoon will then drop onto the egg carrier and the oil will drop onto the pan.
