DESPERATE FOR YOU

It is so easy to say you don't love someone
but much harder to say you do.
I continue to wait for the right moment to tell you,
hoping it won't be too soon.

I lie down in our backyard hammock.
And as I stare at the stars, the tears roll down the
side of my face and into my hair-
chilling me when I long to feel your warmth.

I walk by you on the street,
not having the courage to speak up.
I fall into a shadow, and you wonder where I am.

Since I feel you somewhat care for me,
I refuse to give up hope.
I stop looking at the sky and feeling sad;
I used to long to be amongst its mist.

But now I long for you to talk to me and
I hope you know I'm waiting right here
for just those words from you.

PEACE IS WHEREVER I AM

I still can have the same peace here,
as I had found once, when I was there.

I'm used to hearing these soft
wind chimes and feeling the gentle breeze
that carries that sweet sound through the land
when I step out my back door.
I haven't fallen in to loving this world as
I loved my word world of days in past.

But don't worry, I won't miss this
place when I leave.
I won't look back,
I'll hold my head high
as I finally can say goodbye and smile again.
