Why is it that I love the sprinkling rain,
or wish for it never to stop?
It makes me smile when I'm lonely;
Those days I'm sinking from the top.
Maybe it's because I feel the sky's crying,
As if it's sympathizing me.
It makes me feel I have a t least one friend,
When I feel as lonely as can be.
Taken aback by a stranger's offering,
You smile; sharing your umbrella so sweetly.
I hope you come again tomorrow,
It might rain again, ever so meekly.

Why do my nights become so sleepless,
When my thoughts are only of you
And the happiness we share?
It makes no sense to me.
But I give up trying to figure it out
And instead, treasure my fondness.
For it proves my devotion to only you,
When I hate myself for doubting my feelings.
When the rain stops and the sky is so clear,
I know you wish I was there waiting for you.
But don't be so lonely, we'll be together soon
And I don't grow tired of sleeping on wet pillows.
-besides, my pillows will dry and someday my eyes will, too.
But I just want to go on crying, wishing for you.
