Mel Schofield is the most recently recruited member of staff at Mayesbrook Lake. Mel has been a sailing instructor for over five years and has a charisma and attitude that enables her to get on well with the children that attend.
Mel particularly enjoys yacht racing and has participated in many regattas. Indeed, Mel's position as a member of staff at Mayesbrook Lake is only temporary as in 2004 she will be taking part in the Global Yacht Challenge, also known as "The Worlds Toughest Yacht Race".
