FunChinese-欢乐汉语! 站长易学君和司徒毅欢迎大家!
MAX YI & BOB MORRIS WELCOME YOU KIDS OF ALL AGES!

Here are our photos. See if you can tell who is who. Our site is always under construction. Please come back often and Email Us.

Who's who? 这是谁?

这里有我们的玉照. 千万不要把司徒毅和易学君弄混了. (小易比司徒可漂亮多了。) 我们兄弟俩将尽力使这个网站不断更新. 欢迎您经常来作客, 并提出宝贵意见。

If you want to learn good Chinese and English together, and have fun doing it, we promise that this site will be the right place for you. This page will provide a forum for discussion, review, criticism, and learning for all who want to participate.
如果你想学习地道的英文和中文,我们向你保证你找对地方了。这个网页将为你提供一个讨论、学习和批评和论坛。欢迎大家参加!

We will use "Sentence-Making" as our main method of learning Chinese. It works like this: We will give you several Chinese words and ask you to make a correct sentence with the words. In the process, we will learn and use Chinese "Sentence Patterns" that you can memorize and use forever.
“造句”将是我们的主要学习方法。我们会给你几个中文词汇要你造句。在此过程中,你会轻松自如地学到很多终身受用的词语和句型。:-)

For example, here are three words--人,狗 and 新闻. Using these, you can create a sentence that is an old journalism joke:
狗咬人不是新闻; 人咬狗才是新闻.
If a dog bites a man, that's not news;
if a man bites a dog, that's news!

In this process, you have made a complete sentence AND used the sentence pattern that incorporates the interesting word 才. We applaud you profusely! :) The discussion group will want to play with these words and patterns some more, offer corrections and suggestions, and use new patterns.
比如,我们给你三个词,“人”,“狗”和“新闻”。用这三个词你可以造出这样一句:狗咬人不是新闻,人咬狗才是新闻。这个新闻笑话想必你并不陌生吧。

Let's try another. "Person," "dog," and "news" were all nouns. Now let's use "lawyer" (a noun), "bury" (a verb), and "good" (an adjective). Try to create a sentence. Here's ours: Q: "What do you have when you get 100 lawyers buried up to their necks in concrete?" A: "A good beginning!"
司徒见小易讲了个老笑话,也不甘示弱地用“律师”、“埋葬”和“好”三个词讲了这样一个笑话(小易提醒各位同学:请做好不笑的准备):
问:如果你有100个黄土都埋到脖子的律师,这意味着什么?
答: 一个好的开始。

We have told you two old jokes, one from journalism and one from law. This is because Max is a Chinese journalist and Bob is an American lawyer, and we like to kid ourselves. :)
我们刚才将了两个笑话,一个是关于新闻的,一个是关于律师的。因为学君是中国的一名新闻记者,而司徒则是美国的一位律师。我们有时喜欢开自己的玩笑。

Also, you will note that the explanations we give in English and Chinese do not always match exactly. The purpose of this page is not to teach exact translation but to present idiomatic Chinese and English.
另外请注意,以上的中文和英文并不总是一一对应的。我们建立这个网页的目的不是教你如何逐字逐句地翻译,而是教你怎样讲地道的汉语和英语。
