Costa Rica...

This picture was taken in Sabana Park, just outside of the capital of San José. Sabana Park used to be the old airport.

In order to make it like a park, they actually added hills, ponds and plenty of trees. They've kept the old building which now houses a Museum and a Café.

On Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays the park is filled to capacity with lots of families and tons of people exercising!

For me the attraction as well as what is above are the gorgeous Eucalyptus Trees, they are so colourful and very tall, it's eye catching.

A must see when in the city.

Lake Arenal
Lake Arenal is to the west of the famous tourist attraction, Volcano Arenal.

There is plenty to do at this wonderful lake while enjoying the view of the active Volcano to the east. From windsurfing, to kayaking, sports fishing, having a picnic or maybe even monkey watching!

Or just taking a few pictures to show your friends back home. It's only about a 4 hour drive from San José (depending on how much of a tourist you are!) It's worth the drive to Acton!!

When Mauro & I moved to Costa Rica, this is where we lived! It is a beautiful place about 16 KM from the city. The only problem was the RAIN! You know the snow-belt in Canada?! About the same but with rain! YUCK.

In this area, they grow plenty of coffee. Which is exported out of the country! So basically, you guys are drinking better coffee than we are!

So next time you have a coffee at your favourite Coffee Shop, have the Tres Rios blend, e-mail me back and tell me what you thought about the coffee!
