FAQ's (frequently
asked questions) about CD
DOCTOR
What is CD
Doctor?
It is a complete line of home care
products for the repair, cleaning and protecting of your CD's.
What kind of CD's will it work
on?
Any CD that you have, music, ROM, video or games.
How does each product in the line work?
CD Doctor Cleaner: Removes the dirt, grime and
sticky fingers that get on your CD's.. Our cleaner has micro abrasives for
tough cleaning and polymers to rejuvenate the surface.
CD Doctor Protect: It won't stop everything, but
Protect will reduce the need for cleaning and the potential of scratching.
Plus, there is another recently discovered benefit; Protect has a degree of UV
blocking capability that will help the digital and mirror layer in normal
light.
GP (general practice) Repair: GP completes
two repairs in one application. It does this by reducing damage and treating
damage so a laser can read "through" it. GP by itself can save up to
80% of damaged CD's.
Trauma Kits 2 and 4 : Use this on your most
damaged CD's. These kits contain our GP and Acute, which is a rubbing compound
that is designed for CD's. We like to refer to Acute as
"resurrection". Combining GP and Acute assures 95% of your CD's can
be repaired, maybe more.
What will my CD's look like after
treatment?
The CD may or may not still be scratched depending on
how you choose to use it, The advantage with the CD Doctor is that scratches
often do not need to be removed for the CD to play again.
What if it doesn't work?
If you are not satisfied for any reason return it to
where it was purchased and you will get a refund of the full purchase price.
There are also a few things you need to be aware of if a CD still skips after
treatment with GP or Acute. Skips and jumps can be caused by a dirty player
lens and a scratch on the mirror (side of a CD with printing) that doesn't
allow a reflection or bounce back and a crack or gouge so deep it has separated
the information section that cannot be repaired. We put our 100% guarantee on
every package. |
