A Little about Myself
I was born and raised a southern gal!!Anderson, South Carolina and I'm proud of it. I vowed never to live anywhere else but things change. My heart remains in South Carolina. I remember summers that seemed to last forever. My best friends were my cousins that lived just down the road. Well..that was until I got older way back then we walked everywhere so where could you go? Surely not far! We would pack a lunch of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and coolaide grab a fishin'pole and off to the creek we would go. We would stop on the way to look for hidden treasures of course. Lazy summer days that seemed to go on forever. We would explore everything in site not returning home till dusk. Those were the days when you were safe and you didn't have to worry that someone would pick you up or harm you. The great times I will always cherish. We attended LaFrance Elementary School and then off to "The Fighting Bulldogs" Dear Ole Pendleton High. Lots of memories were made there. I remember The Chicken Shack, football games,,Mac's diner going to McDonalds afterwards to circle it for hours then a few trips back and forth to the Town Square. Those were the weekends we looked foward to. Being with our friends talking about our boyfriends, making plans for the future...What fun we had our summers lasted forever it seemed. We also got to take a few trips to Myrtle Beach and visit The Bowery. Life remained carefree and fun. Graduation finally came in 1969 we thought it would never get there. Then we had a taste of reality!! This part we really didn't want. All of our fun times had become serious times. We now started to find ourselves with careers and some becoming MOMS!! In 1971 we lost our Dad and life was never the same after that,,reality really set in then. He was a wonderful Dad and person.I will always cherish his memories and the time we spent together. But then life continues to speed ahead. Later I found myself going back for more education and this time it seemed easier for some reason,,maybe the seriousness of it knowing now what it really meant. Those days now seem to be distant memories Magical Memories...I wouldn't change them for anything. Enjoy life to the fullest and make all your dreams come true. You only get one chance at life take advantage of it. Today I remain faithful to God he is my strength and has never let me down..
