Finally in July 2003 Doug came and rescued us from Kentucky. Doug had been in Florida working since March 2003 and we were waiting on the girls to finish school. That had to be the longest months of my life. What a welcomed relief!! Kentucky had not been a kind place to us. It seemed everything that could go wrong had. Florida is truly the place for sun and fun! My days now are filled with contentment and happiness. What had been a dread to just get up and face another day had turned into joy. I know some thought my choice to move was not the best but I have found you have to follow your heart. Others cannot make your choices for you and will only confuse you if allowed. The girls are so much happier here also. Their grades are 100% better. Both are making A's and B's. We have found a wonderful Church which is within walking distance. It is a much larger Church but the love and warmth is there. There are plenty of opportunities there for the girls as well as the adults to become involved in. And!!! Wal-Mart store is only a block away... Now is that living?? This is truly a place of retirement. The area here is beautiful. Doug has more than enough work unlike Kentucky where the work stops in the winter. It never really gets cold here. I love it. I spend most of my time in or by the pool. Now that is really living!! What a welcomed relief from what had happened in Kentucky. I had almost forgotten how it felt to be happy. My love for Abadn is still a constant pain but he is in a better place.. There will never be a replacement for him. I am trying each day to understand why things happened as they did. I know God has a reason for everything so I try to remember that. Love as you have never loved before,live as you have never lived before and make each day count for it may be the last. You only pass through this life once make it the best you can and remember any mistake can be repaired. Live life with no regrets and take advantage of every opportunity that passes your way for if you let it pass it may be the biggest mistake you ever made.
