At the heart of Hometown BBQ, not only will you find our friendly and dedicated staff, but also two of our most important tools: our smokers.

Custom-made by our owner, Nathan Rush, and local Blacksmith, Jordan Pierce (pictured below), these two machines help create some of our specialty food items: our prize-wining smoked meats!
"Tiny", the smaller of the two, was the first smoker Nathan and Jordan had ever made. And it's seen it's share of BBQ competition. Most notabably, it produced smoked ribs that won 10th place in the 20th Annual Kansas City BBQ Competition. Nathan and Jordan would go on to create "Big Smokey" shortly before the opening of Hometown BBQ.
