Chien inscrit dans un carré(le standard du parson décrit un chien plus long que haut,mais se sont principalement les chiens carrés qui gagnent en exposition!Il est générallement "admis" que le jack est un peu plus long que le Parson.....) Square dog(even if the parson standard describes that it is slightly longer than tall,it is "admitted" that it is less long than a jack russell terrier.....) Le parson russell a en principe une longueur de membres plus grande que celle du corps. Les mêmes principes que pour le jack russell terrier "Suzan's pride Zavabien" The same principles as for the jack russell	Membres droits que le chien soit vu de face ou de profil.Les pattes torses sont un défaut éliminatoire, de même les pieds ne doivent pas tourner ni vers l'intérieur, ni vers l'extérieur.Les coudes doivent se positionner juste sous le corps et non tournés vers l'extèrieur. The upper arm must have sufficient length to ensure elbows are set under the body(not turned oustside) with sternum clearly in front of shoulder blades. La tête respecte les mêmes proportions dans les deux races avec un museau plus court que le crâne (proportion 1/3 pour le museau, 2/3 pour le crane).Le museau doit être court et carré avec une bonne arcade dentaire. Eviter les têtes en dôme ou en "pomme".Le museau en sifflet est un défaut.Le stop est bien définit mais peu prononcé. photo:m.tallberg photoM.Tallberg,owner Katri Espo The head respects the same proportions for both parson and jack,with a wide muzzle,shorter than the skull(1/3 for the muzzle,2/3 for the skull).Long muzzles , mainly seen in smooth coats should be avoided ( in rough coats this exists of course, but it is hidden by hairs).The jaws must be strong.The stop should be well defined but not overpronounced.The nose is black.Avoid domed or apple head.Snipey muzzles to be avoided.

L'idéal quant à la répartition des couleurs serait que la couleur soit limitée à la tête et à la base de la queue. Le chien entièrement blanc n'est pas recherché. Suzan's pride Doudou,owner Pattyn S. White MUST predominate with black,tan or brown markings.No gray accepted!The "ideal"is colour to be limited on the head and at the the root of the tail. "Jacks are in general,more coloured than parsons".
Poil naturellement rêche, serré et dense, qu'il soit lisse ou dur Rough or smooth coat.	Poil lisse, dur ou brocken (intermédiaire).Jamais laineux! Coat smooth,rough or broken.Must be waterproof.Not wooly or silky!

Le tour de poitrine doit mesurer entre 40 et 43cm Austr.Champ Malung Orinoco,owner Mrs Francis-Little R. The girth behind the elbows can be spanned by two hands,about 40-43cm!Spanning is a hallmark of this breed!
