This is my page of even more friends.
Brandy
Brandy is my ex-girlfriend. We went out together for five months. She was also my first girlfriend.
Brandy is like the sister I never had. Sure, we fight constantly. But, we also love each other with the kind of love that brothers and sisters have for one another. When I am feeling down, Brandy always makes me feel better with her smile. When she is down I always offer a hug. Sometimes, Brandy will just hug me because I look down or something. A hug from Brandy is a special treat when I'm feeling sad.

Big James
James is more commonly known by his friends as Big James. James is originally from Oklahoma, which he says is not by choice. James lived in Commerce for a little while last year but he ended up having to quit his job here and go back to Oklahoma.
Big James came down to Commerce on March 3 which just happens to be my little brother's birthday. After a small birthday party in the room we all decided to go to Applebee's in Greenville to eat for dinner and because Brandy had an ulterior motive- to embarrass my brother.
Lee
Lee is a good friend of mine who I have become even better friends with in the past year or so. Lee was one of Eric's best friends. It was through Eric that I met Lee. I wish that Eric had told me more about Lee, because I wouldn't have stuck my foot in my mouth when I met Lee. Lee didn't like me at first, but we became best friends when we learned more about each other
Lee has become probably my best friend in the whole world. I'm very proud to have Lee as a friend. If I'm feeling down, Lee can always build me up. In this picture Lee is showing off a book that Jesse gave him for his birthday. My life would not have been as good as it has been if I hadn't become good friends with Lee. My mom made a chocolate covered peanut butter penis for Lee's birthday.

Roseanne
Roseanne is a good friend that I met in the Fall of 2000. She is a Biology major at the college. She is minoring in history, which is another one of my favorite subjects. Roseanne was there for me after Eric died. She consoled me at the funeral and just knowing her has made college easier.
When Roseanne's grandfather died over the summer of 2002, I made a couple of special trips to Commerce just to visit with her. It was time for me to be there for her when she needed a friend. Through thick and thin we have remained good friends.

The Women's Volleyball Team
The women's volleyball team pictured here are some of my greatest friends. They are all very smart young ladies. They are well liked at the college.
I try not to miss any opportunities to see these ladies play volleyball. I can usually only see their home games because I stay so busy with school work. I find it to be a nice source of relaxation to see these girls at a volleyball game.
After the last game of the Fall 2000 season, these nice ladies invited myself, my brother, Eric, Steve, and Daniel into the locker room for cake. That was a very exciting experience for me and my friends. We were totally surprised by that. I also had the fortunate circumstance of getting to provide East Texan coverage of these ladies during the Fall 2001 season.
Two of these ladies came to Eric's funeral in December of 2000. I was so thankful to them for supporting me as one of their friends. To learn more about these ladies visit their webpage.

Special Tribute To Mrs. Carol Chapman 1940-2001
![]() |
Mrs. Carol Chapman, the department secretary at our Journalism and Printing department died on August 11, 2001. Tumors were found around her brain in January this year and she underwent chemotherapy, but the tumors came back. She died as a result of the tumors and the illness that the chemotherapy caused. She was like a grandmother to me and she will be missed by everybody that knew her. We all loved Carol, as she liked to be called. She got onto me about calling her "Ms. Chapman" during my freshman year. I was just trying to be a gentleman and be respectful. I love you, Carol. I hope to see you in the afterlife.

Kimi
Kimi is one of the few friends that I am still in contact with from high school. I went for two years without seeing or hearing from her and then one day, out of the blue, I saw her at the drug store and got her email address from her.
After Eric's death, Kimi called my house and Red Oak and we talked for almost an hour. She is a very special friend. We have been through a lot together.
This picture was taken at the 1997 National Honor Society induction. Kimi and I were inducted into the National Honor Society together that night. It was also the first NHS induction that was done partially in the dark. Rumor has it that a snake got into the electrical transformer at the power plant and caused all of the power to go out in the town. Whatever, the cause, the induction ceremony was lit by a tiny bit of electrical lights and the candles we were required to hold while being inducted.
