In Artemis Fowl, Artemis comes across fairies with high-tech weapons (members of the L.E.P.-ricon unit) and he falls into trouble stealing fairy gold. In Arctic Incident, someone supplies Class-A illegal human power sources to goblins. (Fairy) Cap. Holly thinks it is Artemis, but is itS? Artemis has got problems of his ownSHis father has been kidnapped by terrorists in the Arctic. Maybe this time he needs the fairies' help. So Holly and Artemis form a pact that Holly will help Artemis find his father and Artemis will find out who is dealing with those illegal human weapons. And then..OOPS!
