| Crossing the
bridge at Mgarr Ix-Xini, Gozo (Malta). Trekking to the climbing area from the sea
side. Long but exciting and full of suprises! And this century old bridge is
the climax of the whole hike... it crosses the thorn-infested ravine. It's really
fun! |
Crossing the
stream. It is night time, we are all dead-tired after spending the day climbing, the
previous days it rained a lot, and Mgarr ix Xini is full of water. Ok it's nothing
compared to any Discovery Channel/National Geographic expedition but it's still exciting
for us! |
Crawling across
Mosta valley on rope. It was painful and slow... but I did it! I didn't use
pulleys to help me on the rope.. just my hands and my balance! |
Typical
situation: me entangled in ropes and trying to sort out the huge entanglement... :-) Here
seen halfway 'Sunday Morning' L-R: Thomas, Nick, myself |
| This was the
"tent" I used in Winter 2001/2002! My old tent was severly damaged by
gale-force winds and I had no money to buy a new tent... So I improvised with this... as
you can see it offers very little protection but its cool and fun! Try to imagine 3
sleeping under it (me with two females)!!!! |
My storm tent!
It's a Vango Hydra 200+. This is the tent I use in severe weather. This was
the tent I bought in 2002. I shared it a lot with my ex-girlfriend (Elaine) and it
still smells of her perfume (and of sex of course) :-) Girls eat your hearts out :-P |
My general
purpose tent. It's a Vango Delta 300+ tent. I use it when it's not so windy
and the weather is starting to get hot. I bought it very cheap about 70 Euros and
it's double porch is perfect for ventilating the tent when it's getting really hot!
Also it is very spacious inside and two people with all their things can sleep really
cosy!! |
Typical
situation after climbing... tired but satisfied. |
